Biography

Mandah is a Mongolian bassist and composer based in the Netherlands. Rooted in jazz and fusion, his musical approach is shaped by rhythmic sensibility, improvisation, and an openness to contemporary influences. He has performed at many music venues and festivals across China and Europe and collaborated with symphony orchestras, jazz big bands.He completed his master’s degree at the Utrecht Conservatory in 2024, where he further developed his work in bass performance and composition. Raised in Inner Mongolia, China, Mandah draws subtle inspiration from its cultural landscape while continuing to develop a personal musical language through both performance and composition. In 2025, he released “Came a Long Way,” the first single from his forthcoming album as leader of the Mandah Trio.
